Sara Tavender receives special recognition for her outstanding commitment as an ELC volunteer.
Sara Tavender, co-chair of both the Program and Education committees and a volunteer reading pal recently received special recognition at the annual Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) luncheon held on May 2. More than 300 volunteers were in attendance for the luncheon held in St. Augustine.
Tavender was presented with the “Outstanding Volunteer” award for her dedication as a reading pal. She reads at two different child care centers once a week, in addition to her efforts as a committee co-chair.
